At eSIMstep, we are committed to providing reliable digital eSIM services and a clear refund process. This policy applies to digital eSIM purchases, including purchases made by customers in Canada.

Digital Product Notice

eSIMs are digital products and cannot be physically shipped back or returned. No physical return is required. However, unused eSIMs may be eligible for a free refund within 30 days of purchase.

For this policy, an unused eSIM is an eSIM that has not been installed, activated, or used. Use includes scanning or using the QR code, downloading the eSIM profile, or starting data usage.

Installed, activated, or used eSIMs are non-refundable except where a qualifying technical or service issue applies. Receiving an order email by itself does not automatically count as use.

30-Day Unused eSIM Refund

Unused eSIMs may be refunded within 30 days of purchase, even when no technical defect exists.

Customers may request a refund within 30 days if the eSIM has not been installed, activated, or used. This applies to both non-defective unused eSIMs and defective eSIMs.

Approved refunds are free. There is no return shipping, return fee, refund fee, or restocking fee.

Defective or Technical Issue Refunds

A refund, replacement eSIM, or store credit may be available in the following cases:

  • eSIM not delivered: The eSIM or installation details were not delivered within the expected time after successful payment.
  • Technical issue caused by eSIMstep or a service partner: The eSIM could not be installed, activated, or used because of a confirmed technical issue on our side or our service partner's side, and support could not resolve it.
  • Wrong or invalid eSIM delivered: The customer received an incorrect, invalid, expired, or unusable eSIM because of an error by eSIMstep or a service partner.
  • Incorrect or missing compatibility information: The eSIM was incompatible because important device or plan compatibility information was incorrect or was not clearly disclosed before purchase.

We may ask the customer to complete reasonable troubleshooting and provide device information, screenshots, or error messages so we can confirm and resolve the issue.

Non-Refundable Cases

Except for a qualifying technical or service issue described above, refunds are not available in the following cases:

  • The eSIM has been installed or activated.
  • Data usage or plan validity has started.
  • The QR code or activation details have been used, or the eSIM profile has been downloaded.
  • The customer deleted the eSIM after installation.
  • The customer selected the wrong country, region, or plan after using the QR code or installation details.
  • The device is carrier-locked or incompatible when the limitation was clearly stated before purchase.
  • The customer changed their mind after the eSIM was installed, activated, or used.
  • The issue results from incorrect installation, disabled roaming, incorrect device settings, or another user error.
  • Local network availability, speed, signal quality, or coverage limitations are outside eSIMstep's and its service partners' reasonable control.
  • The refund request for an otherwise unused eSIM was submitted more than 30 days after purchase.

Important Compatibility Notice

Before purchasing, please make sure that:

  • Your device supports eSIM.
  • Your device is unlocked.
  • Your destination country is covered by the selected plan.
  • You have a stable Wi-Fi connection during installation.
  • You follow the installation instructions provided after purchase.

Refund Request Period

Refund requests for unused eSIMs must be submitted within 30 days of purchase.

Technical issue refund requests should be submitted as soon as possible, preferably within 30 days of purchase.

How to Request a Refund

Send the refund request to support@esimstep.com. No physical return is required, and there is no fee to submit or process an approved refund.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • The email address used for purchase
  • A clear explanation of the issue
  • Screenshots or error messages, if available
  • Your device model

Our support team may ask you to complete troubleshooting steps before approving a refund.

Refund Processing Time

If your refund request is approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method.

Approved refunds are usually processed within 5-10 business days. The exact time may vary depending on your bank, card provider, or payment service.

Exchanges, Replacement eSIMs, and Store Credit

If a refund issue can be resolved by issuing a replacement eSIM, eSIMstep may offer a replacement eSIM or store credit instead of a refund.

Exchanges and replacement eSIMs are accepted for eligible orders, including when the original eSIM is defective, invalid, incorrect, or affected by a qualifying technical issue. We will not charge a replacement or exchange fee when the issue was caused by eSIMstep or a service partner.

A replacement, exchange, or store credit will only be issued with the customer's agreement where required. This does not remove the customer's right to an approved refund under this policy.

Chargebacks

If you have an issue with your order, please contact our support team first. We are happy to help investigate and resolve the problem.

Unauthorized chargebacks may result in account restrictions or suspension of future purchases.
